2008-10-23 Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke Monday called for new financial policies to help stimulate the U.S. economic recovery. Bernanke pointed out in his testimony to the U.S. House of Representatives Budget Committee, because the economy may be weak in continuous several quarters, the economy has the risk to keep going down. At this critical moment, the National Assembly considers the adoption of a fiscal stimulus program is appropriate. He suggested that, this plan should include assist the consumers, house buyers, enterprises, and other access to credit method for borrowers. This is the second time this year that Bernanke urged to adopt fiscal stimulus program.
The experts from the U.S. economic Conference Board pointed out that the extreme volatility in financial markets and the freezing of credit market will be no doubt making the economy further weakness.
